The Bioscience Electron Microscopy Laboratory provides service, training and facilities required to carry out electron microscopy (EM) of a variety of biological and non-biological samples.

The primary roles of the Laboratory are:

  • To provide EM equipment, service and technical expertise to research projects carried out by investigators from within and outside the University
  • To educate and train students in the theory and practice of electron microscopy via regularly scheduled courses offered by the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology and through independent student research
