Proximity number is a 5 digit number located on the back of your UCONN ID card.
If you are granted access to the EM lab after hours by BEML staff, we need to program your UCONN ID card so you can unlock the G06 door after hours. You need to get the right kind of ID card with proximity chip in it. Most newer UCONN ID card have it and some old card don’t. Note that this is not the same as the magnetic strip. Your card contains a proximity chip if there is a 5-digit number on the back (see image below). If there is no number in this location, go to the One Card Office in Wilbur Cross to get a new ID with proximity chip.
